OSFNA HISTORY

On September, 1995 few individuals met in Toronto, Canada to discuss the establishment of OSFNA.
July - Aug 1996 the Bariisaa of Atlanta, Madaa Walabuu of Seattle, Odda of Toronto, Oromia of Toronto, Bakalchaa of Ottawa, and Riisaa of Minneapolis participated on the historic first Oromo Sports tournament. Today, these teams collectively along the team leaders called the founders of OSFNA.

Since its establishment, the OSFNA Annual Soccer Tournament  has been a great venue for Oromo’s of all background to come together and celebrate their culture and heritage. Among the main reasons for our Guests for making their annual pilgrimage is the anticipation of meeting long-lost friends from previous years going back to childhood.
